Evening and Weekend Options
The Evening and Weekend Program provides individuals within commuting distance of the campus the opportunity to take up to 26 undergraduate hours of college work on a special admission basis. Tuition is the same for all other undergraduate courses; students in the program pay reduced fees. Individuals who possess a high school diploma or GED certificate and who have not been academically suspended from Southern Illinois University Carbondale or any other institution of higher education during the twelve months prior to application for the Evening and Weekend Program are eligible for admission. Students may take course loads not to exceed eight semester hours during fall and spring semesters and up to five hours during summer session.
